| 19.12.2011 S.Gadirov, chief of Production Department of "Azerexpresspost" took part at the seminar-presentation of the "GS1 Azerbaijan" Association S.Gadirov, chief of Production Department of "Azerexpresspost" took part at the seminar-presentation of the "GS1 Azerbaijan" Association arranged at the "Gazelli House" on 16.12.2011 at 15:00 due to addition of the 1000th user to GS1 barcode system in Azerbaijan according to the invitation letter by Mr. V.Aliyev General Director of "GS1 Azerbaijan" Association. Opening the ceremony with an introductory speech Mr. V.Aliyev greeted the invited guests and introduced them to participants one by one. Then giving information on GS1 (Global Standard 1) he stated that this system is an international association of voluntary non-commercial character. GS1 consists of national organizations which have unique right to present this system and use "GS1" commodity brand. "GS1" brand was confirmed in 2005 to create a unique and real global organization under the common name. Today GS1 Association is introduced by national organizations in 108 countries of the world. In Azerbaijan only "GS1 Azerbaijan" Association realizes the management of GS1 system and gives barcode numbers to commodity and service producers. The barcode numbers given to the producer companies by "GS1 Azerbaijan" Association start with 476 figures. Then Mr. V.Aliyev spoke on the experience of usage of commodity barcodes and automatic identification technologies in our country and abroad, different and very interesting presentations and video materials were demonstrated concerning this. Friendship dinner was given to the participants of the seminar-presentation at the end of the ceremony. |
